Colors and Design
The official colors of the Air Jordan 1 Flyknit “Banned” are black, varsity red, and white. While the colors themselves are fairly traditional, the material used for the kicks will make you want to take a closer look.
To start off, the “Flyknit” tag is a little misleading. Unlike all other flyknit models, these kicks seem to have a thicker weave so that they stand out from the rest. Imagine the texture of a yarn-knitted jacket and you’re fairly close to how these kicks look like.
Is this a deal breaker? Not really. For most people – the unique texture of the Air Jordan 1 Flyknit “Banned” actually adds to its overall appeal.
The black is confined mainly on the center of the kicks with the red adorning the vamp and the heel portion. A beautiful Swoosh logo adorns the quarter of the kicks, red leather embroidered onto the material, creating a depth in design. The Wings also is also included in the overall look, done in the same shade of red as the rest of the kicks. Compared to the Swoosh design however, the Wings icon is a little less obvious.
The tongue is done in pure black and the same goes for the black laces. This is definitely a plus considering how often laces can get lost. With the black coloring, you’ll have no problem quickly finding a replacement – just in case you need to.
The soles are kept pristine in white with a slim line of ridged outsole. Flip the kicks all the way to the back and you’ll find a fairly basic patterned design, just enough to add some grip to the shoes.
Product Price and Release
The Air Jordan 1 Flyknit “Banned” will cost you $180 – which makes it well within the typical price range of the Air Jordan shoes. As for the release date, expect these kicks to be out by September 9, 2017. This gives you a few more months to save on the kicks and add it to your collection.
If you’re not feeling the general vibe of the shoes however, you can always wait out for the Air Jordan releases 2017.
