The tag “Black Cat” was actually Michael Jordan’s nickname when he was growing up – and these shoes are meant to commemorate not just the legendary player but also his amazing history.
Air Jordan XXX1 Black Cat

Release Date:March 10, 2017
Describing the Classic
The Black Cat in itself is a classic. Following the silhouette of the XXXI, the kicks are simple in their coloring and primarily done in black – as expected by the name.
What really makes these shoes stand out are the materials used. The upper portion features a screen-like material, offering a very unique depth and texture to the shoes that makes them look very comfortable when worn. The eyelets are the only sprinkling of white that can be seen on the body of the shoes since even the laces and the tongue are done in black.
It is always a plus point when the laces are basic in their coloring. This means that you can easily replace them if ever there is a need without having to special order from Air Jordan.
On the downside, however, there is the Jumpman icon featured on the center of the tongue. It is the same color as the rest of the shoes so the icon doesn’t exactly pop out. Fortunately, the silhouette includes the same Jumpman logo near the quarter panel of the kicks, this one done in a lighter shade of grey, allowing it to stand out from the black background.
There is also this very light coloring of the Swoosh icon along the length of the quarter panel. A little too subdued so that all you can really notice is the unmistakable shadow.
The soles are kept white, offering a sharp contrast to the blackness of the kicks. Kept plain and simple, the white portion extends all the way to the bottom of the shoes.
The shoes are set for a March 10 release this year with a price tag of just $185. That is definitely cheaper considering the price of other Air Jordan kicks available today. Make sure to put in a reservation if you’re loving this one!
