Style and Colors
The official colors tagged with the shoes are black, hyper pink, and white. Just from the name, you can instantly tell that the ‘hyper pink’ is really popping out of the kicks, slamming you with the ultimate femininity of the colorway.
With one look, you can tell that the shoes are primary done in pink with just small patches of black limited to the mudguard and quite possibly the tongue. It’s hard to tell the color of the tongue considering how images of the shoes don’t show a frontal view of the silhouette. Basing from experience however, it’s a pretty good bet that the tongue is black with a Nike icon on the center. The collar lining also follows the same dark color.
What you can see are the shoelaces done in basic black and kept rounded. It’s a beautiful foil against the dark coloring of the leather, not to mention it’s incredibly easy to find in various shops. It’s always a plus if the shoes come with your basic lace colors – allowing you to quickly replace them without worrying about ruining the overall appeal of the shoes.
On the quarter panel you can see just half of the Swoosh design, the other half essentially disappearing into the massive pinkness of the heels. Fortunately, the pink Swoosh meets up with the black leather so that it manages to pop out nonetheless.
From the top side you can see the Wings logo, this one done in a distinctive black coloring against the pink material so that it really makes an impact. Finally, there’s the pink logo on the heels of the shoes. The pink logo appears to be stitched and is nothing like any other Nike icon out today. Instead, this is the official Serena Williams logo. We’re not sure if the pink-on-pink approach is a good thing, but the logo at least can be easily distinguished from the rest of the shoes.
This GS release will be available for $120 on February 11, 2017. Granted, it’s a little more expensive compared to other AJ releases today in the grade school sizing. Considering how this is an entirely new Jordans species however, the price is well worth it!
