The year 2016 isn’t over yet and we’re already drooling over the upcoming Air Jordan releases 2017! To start off, there’s the Air Jordan 11 Low “Barons” which looks every bit like British aristocracy with a combination of black and white coloring.
Air Jordan 11 Low Barons
Release Date:April 2017
To say that it’s just a basic black and white combination however would be an outright lie. Just seeing the pictures, you can instantly tell that Nike did something different with this one. Boasting of three distinctive layers, the shoes have a black upper, a black-silver middle, and a plain white bottom of an outsole. What’s really intriguing is the middle portion which seems to shine a little when hit by the sun. It looks a little like glazed sugar – which everyone definitely loves!
The tongue is kept black with a little strip of fabric and the Jumpman icon on the center, this one done in white. From the back, you can also see another small Jumpman icon with the number 23 beautifully stitched on top of it. The result – a slightly understated design with a glazed surface that makes it eye-catching anyway.
The outsoles are kept white – no surprise there. The laces are plain black and rounded. That’s actually great just in case you lose the laces while washing them. This way, you’ll have no problem finding a replacement and still get that “original” look even if the laces didn’t come with the shoes. The layering design adds depth to the shoes and makes up for the fact that it uses only basic black and white coloring. Even from images, you can instantly tell that the material used is textured and would look great in practically anything you wear.
Sneaker News reveals that the release would be April of 2017 but there’s no definite date yet so keep visiting the site for more information! As for the price however, Nike has been more upfront with that, setting the cost at $175. Is that too much? We don’t think so! And the fact that you’ve got a few more months to start saving up for the Baron should ensure that you’ll be first in line the minute they’re released!
All in all – they’re a fairly good choice if you’re looking for something on the classic side. Like the Air Jordan 11 Low “Bred”, there’s a good chance that the “Baron” will make its own mark in the industry. Of course, the use of black and white coloring isn’t exactly unique – but to each his own.
If you love them – make sure you get them and reserve yours the minute they become available!
