Air Jordan 4 Retro Premium
Size Run: Mens
Release Date:October 29, 2016
It’s not surprising why these shoes are limited edition. The “Wheat” is in reference to the color of the shoes which largely resembles the color of wheat in the summer. It’s a distinctive combination of yellow and brown – a lot like the boots worn by those hardy folks when hiking. The fact that its Jordan made with the silhouette of the Air Jordan 4 only adds to the overall impact of the kicks.
Everything about these shoes is wheat from the tongue to the laces. What makes it stand out however is the variation in patterns and layering, creating additional depths and texture to the shoes. Even the Jumpman icon placed on the tongue is done in wheat so that it blends beautifully with the design.
You’ll also find lace holders on the top and bottom of the shoes for that additional variety in pattern. From the back, you can check out the Jumpman logo that’s embedded into the leather. A little drawback – the laces are also done in wheat so it would be tough to find a replacement in case you lose them. They don’t seem to be like your typical rounded laces but look more like strips of rugged leather – a subtle yet highly appreciated attention to detail.
The soles are the only ones that boast a different color – but not by much. The shade is of a lighter version of wheat – subtle enough to make it easy for you to spot where the sole begins and ends.
Even the stitching is done in wheat, creating a striking pathway across the shoes for that amazing effect. A breathable side portion is included, no doubt to provide that fresh look even as it keeps the kicks comfortable when work.
These new Jordans will be available on shelves soon – although no specific date is revealed. You’ll just have to wait and make sure you’re one of the first few to place that order.
