Instead of just keeping their City Pack release within the U.S., Jordan Brand has paid the famous City of Light a tribute with their newest Air Jordan 10 Retro release.
Air Jordan 10 Paris
Release Date:April 9, 2016 (Europe Release)
Ever since the release of the very first City Pack for the Air Jordan 10, Jordan Brand has made their name a global icon and one that is synonymous to the best lifestyle and basketball sneakers there is in the world. The release of the City Pack also made a few changes with the retro renditions starting from the Jumpman logo taken out to make the way for definitive style for each city team.
For their Jordan releases 2016, Jordan Brand will be paying tribute to Paris, also known as the fashion capital of the world and where the famous Eiffel Tower sits, by releasing a sneaker after its well-known city. Sneaker News reveals that the tribute sneaker will use full-grain black leather upper, purple highlights, and an icy outsole just like with other Air Jordan 10 retros released earlier. The Parisian motif is even more accented with the PE branding found on the ankle collar – the stitched number ’75’ – so as to show the code for Paris.
With the France-inspired release, the City Pack just got better because fans and sneakerheads abroad will also get the chance to get their own Air Jordan pairs.
There’s both good news and bad news surrounding the release of the newest remastered Air Jordan 10. The good news: it has been confirmed that Jordan Brand will release the pair this weekend. The bad news: the release stands to be a European exclusive so U.S. fans might find a hard time buying the pair anytime soon – unless they happen to be in Paris or within Europe or have friends good enough to buy them a pair if they really want it.
No sneakerhead would say no to the exclusive Air Jordan 10 Retro Paris with its textured black leather upper. There’s also the fact that the Fierce Purple colorway of the shoes proved to be a perfect accent to match the classic Black upper. The combination of the icy blue outsole and the same Fierce Purple where MJ’s accomplishments over the years are written also proved to be a good combination for the shoes.
Only selected Jordan Brand stores will carry on the pair for sale and there are just a limited number of pairs that will be available to the market. Some of the lucky locations are, of course, Paris, Berlin, Barcelona, Glasgow, Hamburg, and Rome to name a few.
