The year 2015 has been more than generous for Jordan fans out there – but the incoming year holds even better promise if Sneaker News is to be believed. Here is what you can look forward to from Air Jordan during the first three months of the year.
January 9 – Air Jordan 2 Retro “Alternate”
Set for a January 9th release, this beautiful colorway from Air Jordan boasts of a combination of black and red – not unlike the best selling Bred model. The red, however, is found only along the edges of the shoes, thus leaving the black to dominate the rest. With the “Wings” logo placed in the center of a tongue, the Alternate is a heavily classic design that makes it perfect for traditionalists.
January 30 – Air Jordan 5 Retro “Alternate”
That is right – Nike decided to close the first month of 2016 with another “Alternate” offering, this time making use of the iconic Air Jordan 5 Retro silhouette. Again, expect a lot of black and red combination for this pair – but with a slightly different tone that makes it unique. The red is mainly found on the outsole with some red fire licking up to the trim. The tongue is done in white with a lace lock, somehow managing to pull off the whole ensemble.
February 20 – Air Jordan 5 Low Retro “Drunk from Above”
Definitely something meant to catch the eye, this Air Jordan 5 silhouette boasts of a white, blue, as well as yellow-gold combination. The white dominates the design with the blue mostly seen along the edgings. The yellow-gold, however, is something else, strategically placed in locations that make it hard to bypass the overall design. We are thinking that the heel portion boasts of a Jumpman logo but more pictures are needed to confirm this.
February 27 – Air Jordan 12 Retro “The Master”
It is hard to argue with the given name for these Kicks considering the excellent overall look of The Master. Done majorly in black, The Master design boasts of a classic feel and a vibe that makes you believe these are the kind of shoes worn in court. The shoes are done in black with just streaks of indentation pattern that adds texture to the look. A small patch of white is located on the center side view of the shoes with the word “Jumpman” printed on them. The first two laces slots are made of gold which adds a brand of sophistication to the kicks. From the side view, you can instantly tell that the shoes sport the white Jumpman logo on the center of the tongue.
March 5- Air Jordan 2 Retro “Wing It”
Definitely one of the most enviable shoe designs in the collection today, the “Wing It” is a combination of classy and stand-out. The body is mainly done in white with a distinctive snake-skin pattern that adds a dimension to the shoes. A large portion of the shoes are done in black that includes the back part of the soles, the heels, the tongue, as well as the laces. Despite the plainness of chosen colors, the overall design is nothing if not eye-catching.
March 19 – Air Jordan 4 Retro “Dunk from Above”
Yes – not content with an Air Jordan 5 Retro silhouette of the Dunk from Above, Nike to do something in the Air Jordan 4 version. You will thank them for this decision as this particular edition of the “Dunk from Above” is significantly different from the February release. The look is still eye-catching but the colors have been completely changed from light blue to a deeper shade combined with white, streaks of yellow-gold as well as bright yellow for the lace slots. The outsole is done mainly in a brownish hue topped by a solid and clean amount of white. The edgings are done mostly in yellow which helps complete the sporty’ look of the design.
Of course, that is just some of the Jordan shoes set for release in the year 2016. The Jordan release date for these kicks is pretty much accurate which should give you the time to prepare for what is in store. Chances are the news will be bombarded with images each time a new one is set to be sold in the market so give yourself time to check out each design before figuring out whether you want to buy it or not. Wait it out for more shoe releases for the coming months!
