Just last month, July, the Air Jordan 1 Rare Air sporting the customary Chicago colorway combination of Black, Varsity Red and White was released. Rare because of its being “wingless,” the Rare Air is something that you’d remember whenever you think of Air Jordan 1s.

Jordan release date: August 2015 (Asia)
Now, it seems that Jordan Brand is enticing Jordan heads residing in the U.S. with the newest Air Jordan Rare Air “Cool Grey” hitting Europe’s and Asia’s market first.
But there’s much to anticipate with the new Cool Grey AJ1 Rare Air. Yes, the pair has taken its flight in Asia but that only means that it will be getting through the U.S. market very, very soon – something that Jordan enthusiasts are hoping much about.
Just like its predecessor, the Air Jordan 1 Rare Air Cool Grey is another pair that goes without the customary Air Jordan Wings logo. Instead, the sneakers make use of the Air Jordan script on the side of the ankle. It goes without saying that the biggest difference of this new pair of kicks is that it is made with a full leather-based upper in Cool Grey with the inclusion of canvas paneling on the shoe’s tongue. Black highlights are also seen throughout the shoes which are apparent in the Swoosh branding, the polished Air Jordan script, the removable tongue tags, the insole, and the laces. The canvas fabric inlays also give the shoes a patterned look when viewed from afar.
Another detail to note are the removable tongue patches sporting the white Jumpman logo. A lighter gray Jumpman branding that is stitched can also be found on the heel of the shoes while the sneaker is finished off with a white midsole that prettily sets off the Cool Grey look of the shoes.
Photos revealed from Sneaker News showed an image of the shoes with three pairs of tongue tags, two sporting the Jumpman logo in yellow and white and another stitched script of “RARE AIR”. Does this mean that owners of the new Air Jordan 1 Rare Air Cool Grey have different choices for the tongue tags?
So far, no definite Jordan release date has been given yet for the official launch of the Air Jordan 1 Rare Air Cool Grey in the U.S. but given that the pair already made it to Asia and Europe, then perhaps Jordan heads and fans can look forward to U.S. launches very soon. To know more when that will be exactly, stay tuned.
