For all intents and purposes, the PG 1 is classic in the sense that it marked an iconic first model for the partnership between Nike Basketball and Paul George. Inspired by George’s many interests, the PG 1 has done many iterations in the previous years and it looks like it will not be stopping anytime soon especially with the release of the Nike PG 1 “Elements.”
Nike PG 1 Elements
Size Run: Mens
Color: Medium Olive/Black
Style Code: 911085-200
Release Date: June 16, 2017
Features and Design
The PG 1 “Elements” takes a lot of what people love from the classic signature design of PG1 and even makes it better. It makes use of an olive-colored base and black neoprene inner booty, with a few accents of orange, black and white in the entire surface. The olive green suede upper, in particular gives a military vibe. It is comparable to the UNDFTD x Air Jordan 4 of the same colorway that was released a few years ago. The branding and the Flywire logo is colored orange and brings a stark contrast to its background.
Public School NY x Air Jordan 12 “Bordeaux” Release
In related Nike release 2017 news, the Public School NY x Air Jordan 12 “Bordeaux” is in the works after pictures of the product made its way online in the past few days. It can be remembered that the collaboration between the two was first released in 2015. Since then, different colorways of the same design has been made available to the public.
The “Bordeaux,” however, stands out for its wine red burgundy color that is very piercing even from a distance. Just like the other Public School NY x Air Jordan 12 products, it is made of premium suede.
The release date of the Air Jordan 12 “Bordeaux” has not been announced yet but it is safe to assume that it will either be late this year or early 2018.
Nike PG 1 “Elements” Release
The Nike PG 1 “Elements” will be in stores worldwide on Friday, June 16. The price will be at an introductory level of $110, which makes it a pretty cheap bargain for a set of Nike shoes. The worldwide release date will be announced later.
The “Elements” is a step in the right direction for the partnership between Nike Basketball and Paul George. It may not be enough to rival Air Jordans right now but it is definitely on its way there.
In any case, many Nike fans out there might be delighted about the release of this particular model.
