Nike is definitely a fan of contrasts, giving their customers the chance to choose between two different colorways featuring the same basic silhouette. For this year, they’ve added the Jordan Spizike “Black Cement” to the line right after announcing the eventual comeback of the Jordan Spizike “White Cement”. Basically, this means that you’ll have these two kicks to look forward to for the 2017.
Jordan Spiz’ike Black Cement
Size Run: Mens
Color: Black/Black-Varsity Red-Cement Grey
Style Code: 315371-034
Release Date: June 20, 2017
Black Cement Design
As the name suggests, the kicks are primarily made with a black exterior with some cement accent to provide an enchanting contrast. The cement pattern is limited to the accent below the vamp, a little around the heels, and the eyelet along the top portion of the shoes near the tongue. Officially, the colors are black, black varsity, and red cement grey.
The quarter panel offers a mesh design while the collar lining takes on a slightly gray color, just fading enough to soften up the overall austere look. Even the tongue follows the same black coloring with an unmistakable logo on its center. Another logo can be seen on the heel portion of the kicks, this one done in a deep shade of red. This is actually the only bold color that can be seen on the body of the shoes as everything else is either black or done in the grey-cement pattern.
Even the shoelaces are done in basic black, but that’s actually a good thing. Laces often need replacing so it makes sense to have one that’s easily found in practically any shoe store in the mall. The lacelock however, is transparent.
Flip the shoes and you can admire the red-on-grey footbed with the words JORDAN beautifully displayed on the front half of the shoes. Stylish grooves are built in for that much-needed grip when using these kicks.
Price and Release
For the Jordan Spizike “Black Cement”, you can expect these babies on the shelves by June 20, 2017. They’ll be available for the low price of $160, making it surprisingly cheaper than other Air Jordan models out in the market today.
If you’re not a fan of the Jordan Spizike “Black Cement” however, you can always wait until next year for the Air Jordan 3 “Black Cement” which features the same colors in a different silhouette.
All in all, it’s a pretty sweet deal for those looking for a Jordan product that’s a little different from the rest. Check it against the White Cement though so you can be sure that this is the color for you.
