Adidas is loving Primeknit as it introduces the “Oreo” design closely with the “Pearl Grey” coloring, both following the Primeknit material. While the Pearl Grey is specifically created for the ladies, we’re not sure if the same is true for the Oreo.
adidas NMD XR1 Primeknit Oreo
Color:Core Black/Solid Grey-White
Release Date:May 20, 2017
Product Style and Colors
As the title suggests, the Adidas NMD XR1 Primeknit Oreo follows the black and white pattern, just like everyone’s favourite cookie. These shoes look delicious from the inside out as it follows a classically loved pattern.
A large part of the shoes carrying the black and white color combination with a stripey-design that has a matrix feel to it. There’s no specific delineation between the colors as the two blends into one attractive pattern. This color combination extends all the way to the tongue of the kicks where Adidas places a recognizable logo on the center of the tongue.
The official colors used by Adidas in their description is core black and solid-grey white. The grey can be found primarily on the cage of the Adidas NMD XR1 Primeknit Oreo as well as the midsole. The rest of the soles however are done in plain rubber white with minimal grooves and markings so as not to distract from the appealing body of the shoes.
The heel portion carries a tag with a writing that firmly describes the shoe model. To wrap it up, the kicks come with plain grey laces – simple enough that they’re easily replaceable once you find the need to get rid of them. This is always a plus point, in our opinion.
Cost and Release
The kicks will be released at the same time as the Adidas NMD XR1 Primeknit Pearl Grey which is on the 10th of May, this year. The price is also the same at $150 so you have the option of buying either one – or perhaps buying both, if both appeal to you. If none do however – feel free to check out other Adidas releases 2017 as this brand never disappoints when it comes to their originals.
All in all, the Adidas NMD XR1 Primeknit Oreo really makes a statement with its black and white color combination. For those who happen to love the cookie, this is your time to make that commitment even more obvious. Of course, you may just love the shoes itself as they display a feminine design with a hint of edginess. Compared to the Pearl Grey, the Oreo is definitely the less feminine of the two, but it doesn’t distract from its appeal.
