One of the new Jordans coming out before the year 2016 ends is the Jordan Jasmine Premium. As the name implies, this particular silhouette would be unlike any other. With a full name of “Jordan Jasmine Premium – Metallic Gold”, you probably know exactly how this would churn out.
Jordan Jasmine Premium
Size Run: Mens
Color:Metallic Gold/Metallic Gold-White
The Jasmine isn’t just done in classic gold however. The designers decided to balance the color with texture so that it doesn’t look like your typical blank and bland canvas. Rather, designers created a crocodile-like pattern all over the shoes, making it seem as though you’re walking on a particularly glamorous lizard.
It’s pure metallic gold from every angle. Even the laces are done in the same shade which is both good and bad. Sure, it works well with the overall look but you have to be very careful with these laces. Chances are you won’t find a replacement should you lose them.
On the upper side, designers decided to place the Wings logo which is also done in metallic gold. From the looks of things, the icon isn’t embedded onto the leather material but rather, a completely separate item all on its own. Hence, there’s a chance that the wings logo may detach if you’re not careful with these shoes.
The tongue isn’t spared from the metallic coloring. Unlike other Jordan models however, the tongue doesn’t sport any kind of logo. The back portion which traditionally sports another Jordan logo is also bare. It appears as though the designers limited themselves to the Wings icon on the side and decided not to add anymore. Good call, considering how the metallic gold coloring of the shoe is a statement in itself.
The glamorous coloring of the body means that choosing any other bold color for the soles would be in bad taste. Hence, you can see that the soles are kept plain, straight, and white with no other embellishment to speak of. This makes it easy to focus on the gold coloring of the shoe’s body, creating that perfect balance that all footwear’s need.
Unfortunately, we’re not sure how much these babies will cost or even when they’ll become available. Some websites however are already accepting reservations.
If you don’t like lizards or just want something a bit more understated, the Jordan Jasmine Premium might not be for you. Fortunately, other Jordan release dates are scheduled before the year ends so you should be able to make other choices from there. Right now however, there’s no question that the Jasmine has piqued the interest of the market as it enters shelves in style.
