It is tough not to ogle at the new Air Jordan 1 High set for release this year. Various images were just released and Sneaker News is currently thrilled to have the very first Air Jordan silhouette garbed in colors of red, white, and metallic silver.
Air Jordan 1 High
Color:Gym Red/Metallic Silver-White
If you are familiar with the Air Jordan colorways, then you will know that the red and white color combination is considered a classic. With the Air Jordan 1 “High” however, Nike decided to add a touch of metallic silver in the Swoosh logo located at the side of the kicks. The red shade can be found on the body of the shoes, acting as an upper layer over the white length of the kicks. As a result, you get this blanket approach that adds depth and design to the shoes.
Both the white and red parts seem to be made from the same material: leather. Hence, there is really no discrepancy when it comes to texture, which isn’t exactly a problem. The soles however are kept boringly white with just notches to add to the overall design. The tongue and laces are kept red with a Jumpman logo proudly displayed on the middle of the tongue. This one is done in a shade of metallic silver with the words AIR at the bottom of the icon. Along the sides of the shoe, the Wings logo can be seen – also done in metallic silver.
The heel portion is not exactly a surprise – showing the same icon amidst a red leather background. Unfortunately, the Jumpman is not done in silver here, Nike instead opting for red stitching to be used. As a result, the Jumpman icon fairly blends with the color of the leather. Not exactly a good decision considering how every other icon on display is made with a silver emblem.
The bottom of the shoes is done in your typical plain white with the usual markings designed to increase friction.
Unfortunately for all of you who fell in love with these shoes, the Air Jordan 1 “High” has no release date yet. Although it is definitely getting out this year, it’s not included in the list of Jordan release dates 2016 – which means that you will just have to wait for updates. The price is also undisclosed so at this point, you’ll just have to make sure that you have enough funds in the bank – just in case Air Jordan finally announced when it becomes available!
