Air Jordan 10 London – Black and White City Pack

The City Pack is one of the most anticipated Air Jordan releases 2016 – which is hardly surprising considering how each design is inspired by a different city. As you have probably guessed, the “London” colorway is inspired by none other than London. The question is: does it hold up to scrutiny?

The short and simple answer is: Yes. Much like the Air Jordan 12 “Charlotte”, Nike opted for simplicity with the colors, choosing instead to make the silhouettes the focus of the design. While the Air Jordan 12 is stunning in itself, there is no question that the Air Jordan 10 is no less memorable. Using the colors pure platinum, dark grey, and metallic gold – the shades simply added to what is already an appealing mold.

Majority of the shoes follow a light grey coloring with a bit of dark grey at the seams. The soles are a combination of vertical stripes alternating what seem to be different shades of grey. The midsole is a solid black, following a wave like pattern that makes the silhouette more distinctive. The light grey coloring of the upper seems to be composed of layers of leather, creating depth and dimension even with the single color used.

The tongue is done in black with gold LDN done on the side of the shoes which obviously stands for London. The heels show that same gold color, except this time sporting the Jumpman icon. Although the shade may be gold, however, both icons are stitched onto the leather which means it does not really shine as much as an imprinted icon. On the plus side, that makes the icon last longer than usual.

The laces are black and simple enough with grey eye stays that add a bit of contrast in the overall design. Flip the shoes and you have got the same combination of colors.
