The Air Jordan 17 silhouette is no doubt one of the sweetest additions to the Air Jordan line ever since its release in 2002. Although it can’t lay claim to the same rich history as the OGs, there is no question that it has been loved and lusted after by many, which is why Air Jordan decided to re-release the silhouette again this year.
Air Jordan 17+ Copper
Color:White/Metallic Copper Coin-Black-Sport Royal
Release Date:April 9, 2016
Say hello to the Air Jordan 17 Retro Copper! Sneaker News just posted some of the pictures of this colorway and from all angles, it has every chance of making a HUGE impact in the market today. A beautiful combination of white, black, and metallic colors – it has what it takes to be a classic, thanks to the use of timeless shades. Clean and consistent white takes up most of the space with black taking up the rear end. On the trim, however, there is this neat little rectangular cut of black that puts a touch of distinction into the design. To make it even more delicious, the heels display a copper metal plate inscribed with the words JORDAN, just small enough to be discreet but big enough to make its statement.
The tongue is done in white as well with just the tip of the tongue painted black. The words JORDAN can be seen on the top center while at the bottom center, the Jumpman icon is proudly displayed. The white laces ensure that you are not distracted from the overall look of the shoes. To balance out the color, however, and keep The Copper from being boring, Air Jordan places a blue lace lock. The holes where the laces go are lined with copper trimming for that touch of elegance.
The soles are basically an extension of the upper portion. The trim white is cushioned by white soles and the black part also has black for its soles, resulting in an even division of colors.
The heels are something else entirely. Although black in color, they display a snakeskin pattern that is widely different from the plain black and white texture of the main shoe. In the middle, we’ve got the Jumpman icon in bronze with black as its background.
All in all, it’s an incredible piece set for an April 2016 release. According to reports, the item will be sold for $250 which is considerably expensive, even after taking into account the Air Jordan brand. Will it be worth it though? You be the judge! For now, know that this is just one of Jordan release dates 2016 announced with a few more help in surprise for this year.
