If there’s one thing Adidas is well-known for, it’s the fact that once they get a winning silhouette, they would do their best to remake it – in every possible material, color, texture, pattern, and print combination. This May, it’s the Adidas NMD_R1 “Blue Camo” that will grace the shelves.

Color:Navy/Clear Sky/FTW White (Blue Camo)
Release Date:May 21, 2016
Last March, Sneaker News revealed that instead of their sparing release, Adidas will be quite generous with their NMD_R1 pack. The collection set to drop on March is a collection of full-on assault colorways sporting NMD’s full range iterations of mesh, neoprene builds, and suede. It will also be an array of colors and sizes that both men and women will enjoy.
This May, Adidas will release another colorway for their NMD_R1s — the Blue Camo.
The Blue Camo Adidas is actually part of the Primeknit “camo” pack released in four colorways: blue, coral, green, and grey. At a first glance, the camo pattern does not look anything like a camouflage pattern in full. What the Blue Camo looks more like are knitted wool socks but they are definitely a hit for fans looking for a pair that does not have the typical look of Adidas sneakers.
Without a doubt, the Blue Camo would be another hit given that the German sportswear giant took to using the Primeknit silhouette which is a definite grabs for most fans. For a retail price of $170, you will get your chance to grab your own pair of the NMD_R1 Blue Camo.
Up close, the Blue Camo will sport the new go-to runner rendition of the Three Stripes branding for adidas. There is also the Primeknit construction which is a combination of Blue and Black highlights throughout the shoes. The Boost sole which is a trademark of the Adidas NMD is also very visible in its crisp white color while the Adidas branding takes a more subtle look on the heel and near the toebox on placed on the sides of the midsole. But while the new Blue Camo is up for retail, the Primeknit variations are far more limited so it would be challenge to get this pair as early as you might want to.
With its classic Blue, Black, and White combination, it wouldn’t be too hard to match these kicks with any outfit. More than that, it will definitely stand out given that the NMD silhouette is very popular among sneaker fans.
The NMD_R1 adidas release dates 2016 are so far set this March and April. Other releases are also slated on the way so you might want to stay tuned for more adidas release dates as it comes.
