One of the most anticipated Jordan releases 2016 is the Air Jordan 11 Low “Varsity Red” although there is no specific date yet. It is expected to be out by summer 2016 but until there is official confirmation, everyone has their fingers crossed.
Air Jordan 11 Low
Release Date:Summer 2016
Why should you look forward to this model in the first place? The Air Jordan 11 Low “Varsity Red” is a classic colorway retro that cleverly combines two basic shades: white and red. Don’t be fooled into thinking that the color combination is boring because far from it – the Varsity Red carries a classic vibe that is hard to ignore.
Primarily done in white with a mesh-like pattern on the center surrounding the laces, it speaks of a breathable pattern that makes it perfect for the long summer days to come. The lower trim is done in shiny red which seems to be of a different material altogether. Completely encircling the shoes, this is the only bold color to speak of in the Air Jordan 11 “Varsity Red”.
The soles are done in a translucent yellow-white color with a pure white midsole. From the back, you can easily see the Jumpman done in the color red thanks to the white background. Unfortunately, the Jumpman logo is smaller than usual due to the fact that the red design covers most of the half portion of the shoes.
This low-top design boasts of overly white laces and an equally white tongue which underlines the classic look for the kicks. It can be said that while the red portion gives the shoes personality, it’s the white top that makes these shoes wearable in practically any occasion.
Another one for the team, the tongue also sports the typical Jumpman design, but this time a little lower than its usual location. Again, the emblem is done in red and entirely too small compared to others before it.
All in all, the Air Jordan 11 Low “Varsity Red” looks great with every chance of becoming a crowd favorite the minute of its release in the market. Originally made for basketball purposes, this is not an ‘aesthetic only’ model but is made to be used and abused. Unfortunately, the white coloring means that it can easily collect dirt – but that just adds to the personality, right?
Originally released in 2001 for $115, we are hoping that the Varsity Red will be made available under the same rate this 2016, if not lower. If you don’t like the kicks though – there are definitely more to come for this year.
