Not too long from now, Jordan Brand will once again drop the next low form OG Air Jordan 1.
Air Jordan 1 Low OG
Style Code: 705329-106
Release Date:March 19, 2016
More than 30 years had passed since the release of the very first Air Jordan 1, but Jordan Brand still continues to drop several sneakers after the infamous AJ1 silhouette. From distinct styles and several variations later, there is another pair slated for the very first Air Jordan series this 2016, the Air Jordan 1 Low OG.
The low form Air Jordan 1 OG is perhaps one of the best and smartest moves of Jordan Brand for their Jordan releases 2016 to keep fans excited for more releases to come. Of course, they have provided fans with sneakers from mid-top form to high ones, to KOs and hybrids. Nevertheless, the latest low-top form of the Air Jordan 1 remains in classic form given that it will be retaining the original “Chicago” colorways of Varsity Red, Black, and White. In more ways than one, it is simply the same Air Jordan 1 OG that you know, with just the top part chopped off. The remastered low form of the AJ1, however, looks very sleek, stylish, and very lifestyle friendly for everyone.
The Chicago aesthetic of the Air Jordan 1 Low OG can be considered a “notoriety” to the revered silhouette of Michael Jordan’s first line of sneakers. Nevertheless, it is a good break from the earlier release of the Air Jordan 1s Shadow, Bred, and Royal editions. Right on SneakerModel, the pair still retains all the classic details: the Wings logo found on the heel panel instead of the tongue and the Nike Air dutifully taking the former logo’s original place. On the other hand, the Nike Air branding on the tongue looks more traditional for the new shoes compared to the earlier renditions.
On a more detailed inspection, the Air Jordan 1 Low OG sports the customary red and white premium leather base upper with perforations in front to give the shoes better breathability. The linings, laces, and Nike Swoosh on the sides are dressed in black together with the Jordan Wings logo. A contrasting Nike Air branding on the tongue and insole can be seen on the shoes; the tongue uses white on the brand set again a red tag while the red branding on the insole is set against a white backdrop. The pair is finished off with a clean white midsole and red outsole with defining geometric patterns for better traction.
No specific date has been set yet for the release of the low form Air Jordan 1 OG although its official Jordan release date has been revealed to be on March.
