It is just a few months into the year and already Nike is releasing some of the best colorways under truly iconic silhouettes. After the promising glimpse of the All Star shoes for Kobe, LeBron, and the others – the Air Jordan 1 High PRM is now scheduled for release according to Sneaker News.
Air Jordan 1 High PRM
Color:Wolf Grey/Metallic Silver-White
Release Date:February 13, 2016
The Air Jordan 1 has always been a classic, but this new colorway makes the whole approach classier. It is a little tough to describe these shoes which make use of a Wolf Grey, White Color, and Metallic Silver combination. The upper portion mostly makes use of Grey with a 3M reflective detailing and the unmistakable Swoosh logo along the sides. The ribbed outsole follows the basic grey pattern beautifully matched with a plain and rather thick midsole.
The tongue and the laces are grey as well with the Jumpman logo properly placed on the center as tradition predicts. However, it seems as though Nike decided to steer clear from the usual technique of using stand-out colors for the Jumpman icon. This time, they used just a different shade of grey for the infamous silhouette of Jordan jumping for a shot. You will have to really look into the design to catch the image. The same goes for the Jumpman design on the back along the heels. This should not bother you though, the Swoosh design at the sides is big enough to leave no one in doubt about the shoe’s brand.
What is eye-catching about these kicks is the stone-like pattern, much like granite that actually looks a bit green at first glance. If you would want to disappear in a stone-landscape, these are the shoes to wear.
That is not t say the Air Jordan 1 PRM is easy to overlook. They have a charm of their own that leaves a very distinct impression for the wearer. What’s interesting here is that the interior is done primarily in red – a bold color choice despite the fact that there is very little chance people will actually see the interior when worn.
All in all, it is a pretty great piece. Add the colorway to the fact that its part of the All-Star lineup for 2016 definitely makes it one of the most sought after models out in the market today. As for the cost, it is rumored to be around $110 for this pair with a Jordan release date of February 13. Unfortunately, there will not be GS or Kids versions of these shoes – sorry, ladies.
