Air Jordan 5 Low GS
Color:Cool Grey/Wolf Grey-White-Black
Release Date:February 13, 2016
The truth is that it is a little tough to describe exactly what these kicks look like. At first glance, they look like perfect replicas of the Air Jordan 1 High PRM but not really. For one thing, this colorway features a camouflage coloring with hints of grey and an iridescent upper. There are also instances of white, wolf grey and black highlight, especially along the midsole, sock liner, and the tongue.
Speaking of the tongue, it displays a beautiful white Jumpman logo which stands out among the crowd. The tongue itself is done in black instead of what seems to be the grey camouflage theme which covers most of the shoes. The white on black design helps the Jumpman logo stand out from the overall design. From the back, however, the stitched Jumpman logo is of a grayish hue but thanks to the camo background, it is not that hard to spot from a distance. The midsole is done in perfect white and the laces are black with what seems to be a transparent lace lock.
The inside of the shoes are done in brilliant red. Honestly, it puts into question why Nike decided to do this considering how a bold color will barely register since you cannot really see the kicks from the outside. Still, it is a pretty good addition that adds personality to the colorway even if it does not really register for anyone else but the wearer.
Flip the kicks and you have got a semi-transparent bottom with the Jumpman logo beautifully done in black beneath the transparent rubber. The overall pattern is pretty basic and all in all, it’s not a bad look for something that retails at $130. The Jordan releases for these kicks is set for February 13, 2016 – just a day before Valentines. That is probably something you should keep in mind, especially if your significant other is a lover of Air Jordan brands. Sure, it might not look romantic due to the less-than-red coloring, but you cannot argue with the sentiment that comes with it.
To wrap it up – a great buy if you are a lover of the simple classics.
