Yes – we are referring to the “Three Times a Charm” with a Jordan release date of October 24, 2015. A tribute to the stunning three-peat Championship win by Chicago, it is not surprising that this very iconic pair was highly anticipated even before it hit the stands. The flip side here is that “Three Times a Charm” is not using the colorway of the Chicagos but rather, utilizing the colors of the defeated teams. Does it sound tactless? Considering how the Jordan 8 Retro turned, we are voting on the “No” side.

Anyway, the “Three Times a Charm” makes use of several colors with white and black being the dominant shades. A bit of violet, red, and yellow are thrown in, in such a way that it makes the shoes stand out but does not overwhelm the overall clean look of the design.
The trim is done in clean white with the heels and the portion covering the ankles covered mainly in black. The three layers of soles are cleverly done in black, white, and a very thin layer of violet – just enough to make the shoes stand out. On the side, there’s an overlaying pattern of violet, red, and yellow diagonal stripes – occupying only a small area but no doubt catching everyone’s eye as you pass by.

The tongue is done in black and so are the laces. What makes this unique however is that there are two white flaps’ the crisscross across the tongue so that the upper portion along with the black laces are covered. These flaps are done in white with the number 23’ embossed in the front. The flaps are strapped at the back, the strap itself proclaiming the words “Air Jordan”, possibly with a Velcro lining.

On the tongue, occupying a prominent position is the Jumpman logo stitched in black with a basketball hoop stitched in yellow as a background. Rounds of violet are located along where the heels lie and inside, you’ve got a full-colored violet shade.
