Good news: the Air Jordan 1 Rare Air “Bred” is now out in the stores. The bad news: it is called “rare” for a reason.
These kicks in this particular colorway will be released in very limited numbers so if you love the design, make sure you’re one of the few who manage to get in line on Foot Lockers where the shoes will be sold.
Air Jordan 1 Rare Air Bred
First things first, the Air Jordan line is celebrating its 30 years in the business – and there’s nothing more iconic than the Air Jordan 1 silhouette. The Bred colorway is just an exciting icing on the cake.
One thing you should know though: the Bred isn’t exactly a style-defying design. It’s not a landmark colorway because with just one look, you can tell that Nike meant for this to be iconic. The simplicity and timelessness of the colors makes the design an instant classic. It doesn’t matter how many other Air Jordan 1 colorways come out after this – the Bred will always have a special place in the hearts of millions.
The first thing you’ll notice about these shoes is that it uses all basic and powerful colors of red, black, and white. The shoes are high-cut and majority of the body is made in deep, dark leather. The only other colors are white and red which actually helps define the colorway. You’ll find the red tastefully placed in the Swoosh log on the sides of the shoes until they finally connect along the heels.
The soles are dressed in white with the stitching easily visible through the color. You can instantly tell that the soles and top are solidly built together – creating one of the most durable Air Jordan 1 colorways in the market today.
The tongue and laces are also done in black in keeping of the overall color of the shoes. What make the Air Jordan 1 Rare Air “Bred” different however are the interchangeable designs on top of the tongue. You basically have this clear box-like portion on top where you can slide in different “logos” as provided by Air Jordan together with the shoes. These logos are: Rare Air in words, a red Jump Man icon with a black backdrop, and a black Jump Man icon with a red back drop.
The Internet is literally flooded with pictures of these kicks from every angle. Note though that despite their popularity in Sneaker News, the actual price of the kicks aren’t that well known. The Jordan release date for these babies, however, was a few weeks ago so go out there and buy a pair if you’re into them.
