If you have been to the Nike Basketball Elite Academy located at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, then you have probably seen Chris Paul sporting the never before seen colorway of the Air Jordan 11 “Mint” PE.
Air Jordan 11 “Mint” PE
There’s a very good reason why Jordan heads should be craning their necks to see what’s the fuss with the new sneakers released by Jordan Brand. Even if you’re not a famous basketball player or a Jordan favorite like Chris Paul definitely is, the exclusive pair of the Air Jordan 11 “Mint” PE worn by CP3 really broke the Internet just like it did when Carmelo Anthony donned a flashy pair of the Air Jordan 11 PE similar to the Mint in dashing red.
Sneaker News even dubbed the debut of the AJ11 Mint PE as “insane” with the pair contending for the top post against Melo’s red pair and the Jordan Brand Championship pair by Ray Allen. It was just last Monday, June 29, that marked the Nike Basketball Elite Academy’s last day and Chris Paul has seen to it that Jordan heads and viewers alike would remember the day with the release of the Air Jordan 11 Mint PE.
From the pictures released, the new AJ11 Mint truly rocks with an artistic patterned leather upper done in varying colorways of light and dark mint. The shoes’ bottom sole also comes in matching mint green color with the color pattern broken up by the shoes’ carbon fiber shank plate and white midsole. The new Air Jordan Mint also looks flashy with its glossy teal pastel upper and sports the classic Jumpman logo in white color found between the heel and the ankle of the shoes.
Rumors have it Chris Paul have the pair for a while now but only showcased it on the last day of the Nike Basketball Academy. What’s more, stories have been circulating that the pair has been exclusively made in relation to CP3’s birthday which is on May 6 which makes him bear the birthstone “Emerald”. Would it be right to assume that this is the reason why the new AJ11 PEs came out in mint green?
Whatever the real reason is, Jordan heads should really watch out for the release of the Air Jordan 11 “Mint” PE since right now, the rights to have one is only exclusive to Chris Paul. Given that, it might be fitting to expect that these shoes would come swith “exclusive” price tags too.
