The Jordan Westbrook 0 is a popular design nowadays obviously not something made to commemorate the achievements of His Airiness, Michael Jordan. The Westbrook is a nod to Russell Westbrook, another star in the court known for his excellent game play – and his fashion sense.
Jordan Westbrook 0
Colorway: Cool Grey/Metallic Gold-White
Style Code: 768934-002
Jordan Release Date: July 2015
That’s really what the Jordan Westbrook 0 is all about. Despite being a shoe honoring Westbrook, this kick isn’t really something you’d bring to the basketball game. Instead, you can wear the shoes in a bar, the club, or anywhere else you spend a good time in.
Another predominant red colorway which seems to be a favorite in Nike today, the Jordan Westbrook boasts of a clean construction with an opening that hits right around the ankles. It’s completely made from leather and to balance out the redness of the body, Nike adds in a bit of gold and white into the mix, creating a hint of elegance that’s in line with Westbrook’s typical aura.
The soles are the ones boasting the white color with a gold plate holding the laces in place. The word “WHY” is embossed in capital letters on the gold plate. By the way, the laces are also done in the red – the same color as the shoe’s overall body. We’re guessing the interior is the same even though there are no pictures to show it.
The tongue is red too which makes it hard to see the Jump Man logo also done in red and embossed or stitched right in the center. It’s hard to tell with the colors really blending in together. The overall design is clean, but it would have been better if Jordan decided to make the Jump Man logo a different shade, just so it would stand out from the rest of the shoe. There’s no logo found at the back.
Sneaker News expects a lot from this colorway as it bears every promise of becoming a fashion accessory that just screams of status and taste. You should note though that there are also other Westbrook colorways in the market today, specifically a predominantly black one and a predominantly white model. If you’re just not into the red one, these two might interest you better with a classic pattern yet a more neutral shade.
The Jordan release date for these shoes is set for July 2015 so decide now if you want this added in your collection. Price is set at $150 which is actually cheaper compared to others.
