Heads up Jordan Brand fans: the famous Air Jordan 7 Bordeaux seems to be making its comeback this summer of 2015.
Early this year in January, it was rumored from Sneaker News that the Air Jordan 7 Bordeaux would be once again hitting the market 23 years after its first release in 1992 to celebrate its anniversary. The truth is the AJ7 Bordeaux have already been released into the market a few years back, in 2011 for a price of $150. Right now, the Bordeaux Air Jordan 7 is making its comeback with a better and remastered form which would make it carry a tag price higher than that of the first version of its release.
Air Jordan 7 Retro
Colorway:Black/Bordeaux-Light Graphite-Midnight Fog
Release Date:July 18, 2015
The original line of AJ7s shoes had an African tribal art inspired design by Tinker Hatfield. Bordeaux, Olympic, and Raptors are just some of the most popular line releases of the Air Jordan 7s which gained its popularity after Michael Jordan wore the shoes during the 1992 Olympics.
Like other Jordan Brand shoes, the remastered Air Jordan 7 Bordeaux is getting the retro treatment – it would look like the silhouette of the first and original pair of the AJ7s but with a few changes on shape, material set, and colorways.
So far, Jordan heads can expect that the Bordeaux AJ7s will be retaining Jordan Brand’s trend of producing accurate retro models of the shoes’ original silhouettes. The shoe is also expected to feature a combination of black and graphite grey suede upper accentuated by vivid and vibrant colors. The AJ7 Bordeaux will be hitting its outsole and tongue with a mix of colors like blue, yellow, and the new release namesake of Bordeaux.
Just like before, the back heel will also have a v-shaped insignia of the number 23’ to mark the AJ7s anniversary release. The word Nike Air’ is also imprinted on the shoes’ insoles and a similar accented design is observed on the outsole. The Bordeaux Jordans will also have a more iconic colorway with the midsole sporting a darker charcoal color compared to the first release’s light grey.
What’s even better with the Bordeaux Air Jordan 7s is that no two pair of these shoes will ever be alike since each pair will be sporting a different color and pattern for the tongue. To follow the busy celebration of July 4th, the Air Jordan 7 Bordeaux is expected to hit the market at July 18 with an estimated retail price of $190. AJ fans should really watch out for the Jordan release of the Bordeaux AJ7s as it becomes available in Jordan Brand stores worldwide.
