The Air Jordan release date for these kicks is in 2016 – but that will not stop the Jordan community from finding out as much as they can about the Nouveau “Dunk From Above”.

The first thing you should know is that the Dunk From Above is actually a collection of three shoes containing the: Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 4, and Air Jordan 5.

Sneaker News has released an image of what the Nouveau looks like which features a classic colorway inspired by His Airiness’ ability to make a solid dunk while flying several feet up the air. This is the first model to feature the Wings Logo and for its Nouveau edition, the wings are still in their proper place, along the ankles of the shoes.

This is perhaps the cleanest design of the three, featuring a white and blue colorway with a hint of gold at the side, befitting the Nike “check mark” logo. The leather is classically flat with the outsoles kept thin in a gold-brown color. The midsole is kept pure white while the trim is done in solid blue so that it really stands out.

Of course, it would not be complete without the Jump Man logo right there placed on the tongue. The laces along with the tongue are also done in blue for the perfect blending of the design. The interior follows the same basic color, all in all creating a seamless design.

The color combination is actually reminiscent of aviator goggles, which is why they have been given the nickname “Goggles” among the set. The other two are dubbed “Flight” while the other one is inspired by a fighter plane from World War II.

Perhaps the most outstanding feature of the Nouveau “Dunk From Above” is the Nike logo that runs along the sides. From one angle, it sports a golden color but looks a bit closer and it turns into red. It is an excellent addition to what would have been a fairly simple shoe design – which would be disappointing considering how this is a special tribute to the great MJ himself.

As for the heel portion, there is no Jump Man logo design which is to be expected from the Air Jordan 1 model. Instead, the Nike check logo extends all the way back, creating a straight line boasting of the same rainbow-like color.

No reports on how much the Nouveau “Dunk From Above” will cost yet, but they will hopefully be available individually rather than as a pack of three.
