The Air Jordan 7 “Cigar” is part of a set called the Air Jordan 7 “Celebration Collection” although you should not have any problems buying it alone. It comes with the “Champagne” release and together, the two make a very daunting part in the shoe market.
Air Jordan 7 “Cigar”
Colorway:Team Red/White-Gum Light Brown
Release Date:June 20, 2015
As most fans know, the Cigar and Champagne editions are a tribute to the time when His Airiness helped win back to back Championships. This is incorporated in the shoes through the addition of ring lace toggles added into the design. As for the overall colorway, the “Cigar” displays a Team Red / White-Gum Light Brown design that makes it distinct but a little understated. You could say that the Cigar does not need loud eye-popping colors in order to bring the message because it is the unmistakable message with those gold toggles displaying the Jump Man logo in all its pride and glory.
Anyway, the majority of the shoe together with the overlay is done mainly in the Team Red design, punctuated by a patch of white near the heels and the white sole. At the outsole, you have got a pattern of light brown with some ribs styled in to make it stand out.
The tongue is also done purely in white with the Air Jordan worded design right on top where it can be easily seen. The Jump Man logo can also be located near the ankles of this high-styled design, the icon bearing the Light Brown color with the pure white backdrop. From the back right on the heels, you have got the number 23 in display, featuring a basic all-white font design. The interior is plain and seems to be coated in the same Team Red color with breathable sides, perfect for those who want heavy duty shoes for sports.
Despite the huge buzz in the Sneaker news and Jordan release date, the Cigar will not be released until the 20th of June through all Jordan Brand stores. That means you still have the time to choose between Cigar and Champagne when placing your orders. With both editions being on the special side, it can be tough to decide – especially if you do not really want to spend $500 on both. Yes, the Celebration Collection retails for $250 each which is a bit much, even for an Air Jordan brand. Still, with those gold lace toggles, who could resist the latest versions of these kicks?
