A tribute to everyone’s favorite Martian, the Air Jordan 7 “Marvin The Martian” pictures are recently released through Sneaker News, giving everyone a glimpse of this out-of-this-world shoe design. In case you do not know it yet, there are several Air Jordan shoes today designed as ode to favorite cartoon characters, including Lola Bunny and the unforgettable Bugs Bunny.
Air Jordan 7 “Marvin The Martian” Design
Remember Marvin the Martian? This irrepressible character is a combination of black, green, and red – the exact colors used for its namesake in the shoe world. This Air Jordan 7 features a black nubuck upper with accents of infrared 23 and blue graphite along the soles. The eye stay and laces are done completely in black with a smooth surface that offers a contrast against the darker shades of patches along the face of the shoe.
What is really interesting about the Air Jordan 7 “Marvin The Martian” is the tongue. Nike deviated from offering one solid color or two divided ones but rather, decided to have a mash of figures in a rainbow shade. It is a very unearthly combination as you get patches and intersections of blue, green, red, and black. The top of the tongue sports the words “Jordan” with the word “Air” placed in between the letters. Along the side, you will find the obligatory Jump Man logo, done completely in red so that it stands out against the black background. The heels are reserved the number “23” – again done completely in red as a tribute to His Airiness.
The bottom part is equally colorful, which is a shame considering how you cannot really see it while walking. Again, there is the Jump Man logo amid the combination of colors.
Air Jordan 7 “Marvin The Martian” Comfort and Durability
Coming from Nike, comfort and durability are already something every buyer takes for granted. Utilizing only the best materials, the Martian shoes utilize nubuck which is perfect for everyone who does not like the feel of leather on their skin. Soft, well-made, and comfortable – these Kicks should be able to last for years under hard use.
The Jordan release date for these kicks was set on March 7, 2015 – which means you can grab them now through the nearest Jordan Brand store. The item is selling for $190 which is pretty much the same price as all other Air Jordan shoes in the market today. Unfortunately, there is no GS version for this one although there is a good chance that the Lola Bunny has some.
