Air Jordan XX9 Away “Playoff Pack”
Release Date: April 15, 2015
The Air Jordan brand has been known for releasing new designs in time with events, celebrations, and holidays of the year. This time, Sneaker News reveals a nod to NBA 2015 Playoffs with the Air Jordan XX9 Away “Playoff Pack”, due for release on April.
Air Jordan XX9 Away “Playoff Pack” Design
First off, there are actually two designs to the Playoff Pack which are basically the “Away” and “Home” version. There is the Black and White-Cool Blue combination followed by the White and Cool Blue-Photo Blue look. Both shoes are stunning and carry the Air Jordan signature with the ubiquitous Jump Man logo located on the side, near the heels.
The designs are practically the same with curved horizontal stripes running along the body of the shoe, creating the illusion of motion. The tongue comes with a very obvious marking of the number “23” which is the number of the person who inspired the line.
The outsole is translucent and at the bottom of the shoe, the Jump Man logo is once again obvious. Varying shades of blue are used for the midsole and outsole of the shoes, with a pastel blue accent along the mouth, adding an eye-catching look to the overall design.
The laces are of the same color as the body of the shoe, complementing the design and making the number “23” stand out.
Made from durable materials and using patented technology that is uniquely Nike, there is no question that the Air Jordan XX9 Away “Playoff Pack” is meant to last long. When it comes to durability, there is really no big difference between the two pairs in the Playoff Pack. Designed to be light and easy on the feet, the Jordans are well padded, providing sufficient comfort when used – whether you are on the court or in the mall.
The Air Jordan XX9 Away “Playoff Pack” is a little more expensive as usual with each pair costing around $225. Considering the unique release, however, it is safe to say that the price is well worth the product. Hopefully, the Air Jordan XX9 Away “Playoff Pack” will be remastered next year and sold for a cheaper cost if Nike sees potential in the model.
With the Jordan release date just a few days away this April, you can be one of the first few to get this model. Just check out Jordan Brand stores and you should be able to find any of the two, depending on what you like.
