The Air Jordan series was first released in the year 1989, dropping four color features around the globe. A decade later, it has returned offering its very first retro run, when the Jordan Brand started to do Air Jordan Retro models. Both the new Retro concept and the original Cement colorways came back providing another set of classic model colorways along with a few modified updates.
Throughout the years 1999 and 2000, five Air Jordan Retros were brought to the market, ending the great offer with Bling Bling Retro+ that featured perforated holes as well as chrome accents to replace the conventional nets on the top.
Today, the world is pleased once again to the newest Jordan Brand addition, through Richard Hamilton, a Jordan Brand athlete, who showed off his newest footwear addition to the social media.
Hamilton has received a few of the very first Air Jordan Retros remastered pieces, all set to release within the year. Included in this batch are the recently revealed Air Jordan 4 Columbia Retro LS and the to be released to the market Oreo Colorway. Along came Jordan 10 Bulls Over Broadway Retro and the Jordan French Blue 7 Retro.
Wrapping up this should-be-envied set is the newly featured Air Jordan 20 Retro “Laser”.
While it was seen to have been debuted by Dez Bryant, with another plausible feature by Gio Gonzalez, it has been Rip Hamilton, who was able to provide the world with this best Jordan shoe model look yet.
A report by Sole Collector said that the other models included in the lineup, which are set to be released in the Spring seoson, were previewed in New York in the latter part of 2014, adding that remastering actually means getting all new models close to their first releases, both in feel and quality.
Dave Schechter, the Jordan footwear vice president said at the same event, “We’re going to remaster everything in our retro line come Spring. The highlight of this season’s release will be 10s, 4s, and 7s.”
On the other hand, Jeff Atienza, the product line manager of the Jordan Brand, explained that it will be the small details that will become the biggest deals. They know that their consumers are savvy, that is why they are paying attention to the details. They (consumers) definitely know when something is missing or when a detail is too small or too big.
In limited quantities, the Air Jordan 20 Retro “Laser” will be released in the market through Nike as well as a few other selected Jordan Brand retailers come Feb. 16, Monday.
