Unlike other Jordan releases which are usually released on Saturdays, the Air Jordan 10 “Lady Liberty” will be released on a Sunday! The day after Valentine’s Day will see the introduction of yet another great Nike creation into the market. 15th February 2015 will not only be the day the shoe is released but it will also coincide with the 2015 NBA All-Star Games. These will be taking place in New York City between Barclays Center and MSG. This however is not the only relationship the Air Jordan 10 “lady liberty” shares with the larger Manhattan area.
The shoe draws inspiration for its design from the Statue of Liberty located South of Manhattan in an island. But what does this re-mastered Air Jordan shoe offer? The overall color scheme is that of cement grey, Tropical teal and black colors. Black detailing covers the tongue, midsole and the eyestay. The tropical teal accents are incorporated as a salute to the statue of liberty and the cement gray main color covers the upper part of the shoe from heel to toe. A gold jumpman logo at the back of the heel completes the look.
The upper grey part is made from pure leather to ensure durability which is an improvement from previous models. An obsidian trim adds sophistication to the shoe whereas a teal inner trim adds to comfort. The outsole made from cement makes this boot reliable on the court offering great traction and stability.
The Air Jordan 10 “Lady Liberty” has absolutely done great in honoring the Statue of Liberty. The design is great and sophisticated without compromising quality in terms of comfort, durability and ability to deliver during play. With the strategic release date, this shoe is expected to be among Nike’s biggest sales. But how much can you expect to pay for this shoe? About $190 would be enough for one to grab a pair of this shoe come its release date.
