It’s finally (nearly) here! After much anticipation, the Jordan release date for the Fragment Design x Air Jordan 1 High OG has been confirmed – so get your running shoes on because they will hit the stores on December 27th!
These AJ1s have been designed by Hiroshi Fujiwara, who is known as the godfather of Harajuku Japanese street fashion, and he is well-known for his previous collaborations with Nike – particularly for Nike’s “HTM” line. He is known for his inventiveness and in the Fragment Design x Air Jordan 1 High OG he brings together the concept of the traditional Nike Jordan ‘Black Toe’ and the ‘Royal’ into one design. The Royal is one of the most sought-after sneakers of all time and has stood the test of time since it first hit the shops in 1985 right up to the present day where it is still the top selling sneaker within the Jordan range. So expectations are high for the new design!
The Fragment Design x Air Jordan 1 High OG is the highly-anticipated first collaboration between Fragment Design and the Jordan Brand. The sneakers will come in a cool black and white with royal blue trim. The Fragment insignia is embossed on the heel of the shoe, while the Jordan ‘wings’ are on the ankle where they stay true to the original Jordan design and are a must-have for any sneaker fan.
Fragment’s specialty is simplicity, and these high-quality leather shoes are an excellent example of the simplicity and the quality you would expect from such high-profiles and familiar brands. The Fragment Design x Air Jordan 1 High OG will be a limited edition so get ready for the rush on December 27th!
Other Jordan release dates to look out for: Air Jordan 4LAB1 Glow will be available on New Year’s Eve. These retro sneakers actually glow in the dark! In daylight they have an icy silver finish with black laces and will look excellent when the lights are out!
And watch out for re-mastered retro releases in the new year! The attention that Jordan has been paying to its flagship brand is adding to the excitement and anticipation of theses releases. And if the price is high, then it should be reflected in the quality of the product. So keep watching for more news as and when it happens!
